in Music & Worship

The First Baptist Bolivar Worship Ministry exists to lead our church family in God-honoring worship each and every week. Our worship is simply a declaration of who God is, an offering of thankfulness for what He has done, and an expression of our hope in what He will do. We prepare music each week that is theologically sound and Christ-centered so that our worship has a strong biblical basis. We also incorporate times of prayer and scripture reading into all of our services as acts of worship.

The participants in our worship ministry understand that their musical talents are gifts from God, and use those gifts to glorify Him, while also leading others to do the same. We would love for you to join us in any area of our worship ministry! We believe that all followers of Christ have gifts to use for His glory, and we encourage you to join us as we use our musical gifts to exalt Him together!

The Student Worship Team is a great way for students to use their gifts and talents to honor God through Worship. It's also a great way for students to learn and develop their talents and abilities in a comfortable setting where our only goal is to glorify God together. The Student Worship Team leads worship for students, but also at church-wide events. If you are in Middle School or High School and would like to get involved with this group, please contact Mark Janes at There is no audition for this group. Our children’s choirs meet on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. during the school year. In children’s choir we focus on training up future worshippers that understand who God is, why we worship, and how we worship. Our goal is to help develop a love for God that will lead to a life full of worship! The children learn exciting songs, study lessons from God’s word, pray, and play! They also present special programs throughout the year! If your child would like to be part of the children’s choir, please contact our Worship Pastor, Bret Stanford, at We have children’s choirs for all children from preschool to 5th grade and children are welcome to join us at any time!

They learn the fundamentals of musicianship and the value of being part of a musical ensemble. The chimes share their music at special events several times throughout the year.
